Show the Full Website Address in Safari on the Mac

  1. Go to Safari > Preferences or click the Command+, keyboard shortcut.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Check the “Show full website address” box.
  4. Close the Preferences window. You’ll now see the entire website address for pages you visit, just like you can on other browsers.

The iPad and iPhone version of Safari doesn’t have a setting to always show the full URL. However, you can tap on the address bar to expand the URL. You’ll have to do this for each page you want to check out, though.
